Germany BESS Pipeline 12MW 24MWh Ready-to-Build

Carbon Zero today announced that it has secured a 12 MW / 24 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Germany, located in Saxony, which has now reached Ready‑to‑Build (RtB) status.

The project's RtB designation confirms that the key development activities required to advance the project toward construction have been completed. The 12 MW / 24 MWh Standalone BESS will provide grid flexibility and energy-balancing capabilities that are increasingly important as Germany continues to expand renewable generation across its power system.

Battery energy storage is playing an increasingly important role in supporting the stability and efficiency of electricity networks by enabling the integration of variable renewable energy sources, improving system responsiveness, and helping balance supply and demand across changing market conditions.
