Internship Program
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong analytical capability and a clear interest in energy and sustainability. As an intern at Carbon Zero, you will gain hands-on experience in renewable energy investment and project evaluation. You will contribute to real projects and support investment decision-making through research, financial analysis, and industry insights.
Key Responsibilities

To assist in conducting country specific research on power market, energy/grid regulation and supply chain. Conduct due diligence on renewable energy, battery energy storage and power trading as well as carbon trading investment opportunities.

Familiar with IRR, NPV, financial modelling and risk assessment.

Good research ability, quick at research reports/paper, analyse market data, regulatory frameworks, and policy developments to identify trends and risks

Fluent communicator, prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports summarizing research findings and investment recommendations for senior management and investment committee.

Stay up to date on the latest trends and advancements in climate investing, sustainable finance, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices.
Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Sustainability, or related disciplines.

Strong understanding or demonstrated interest in energy transition and decarbonization.

Experience in financial analysis, investment research, or related fields is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to synthesize complex information.

Proficiency in financial modelling and risk analysis is an advantage.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
